At the Web414 meetup we had Clark Sell of That Conference fame join us to talk about GraphQL. Clark is well known for the conference he runs each year in the Wisconsin Dells. The conference features both development and family tracks and combines a vacation with a tech conference. GraphQL is a data query language developed internally at Facebook.
Clark spoke for about an hour; giving an overview of GraphQL, it's benefits, and showed us a series of examples. The talk was energetic and very interactive with the audience. We had a fair turn out of around eighteen people; which was the perfect size for this in depth talk and conversation.
Web414 consists of amateurs and professionals interested in building and improving the web today and in the future. We are a diverse group including designers, programmers, publishers, and entrepreneurs - all with a common interest in creating the new web. We promote a wide variety of topics at our events, encompassing the full stack of web development and anything that our members do to make the web a better place.
